From fun educational day camps for toddlers to adrenaline-pumping adventures the whole family can enjoy, these are just a few ways families can make the most of their time at the resort.

Kid’s Programs

Little ones as young as one and up to 12 years old can join one of Casa de Campo’s supervised kid’s programs that feature fun activities like puppet shows, mural painting, treasure hunts, pony rides and water sports. The programs are designed to teach children new skills, spark creative expression and let kids be kids outside in the fresh air. Even better, parents can enjoy some free time next to the pool or on the golf course knowing that their children are in good hands with friendly and experienced counselors.

Water Sports

What kid doesn’t love to splash around in the water? Grab a snorkel and a pair of fins and explore the underwater world just off of private Minitas Beach, hire a kayak and make your way up the Chavón River to see Altos de Chavón perched high above and lush greenery on all sides, or take a catamaran over to Catalina Island where sun, sea and sand awaits. Other popular water sports at Casa de Campo include paddle surfing (also known as stand up paddling), sailing and deep-sea fishing. and scuba diving.

Horseback Riding & Polo

The equestrian center at Casa de Campo offers one-on-one and group classes for riders of all ages including English and Western style riding, jumping, polo and rodeo tricks. Families can also sign up for guided horseback riding tours that will take you through sugarcane fields, past placid lakes, and on to working ranches where you can see cowboys leading herds of cattle and horses through the fields.

Summer Camps

If you happen to be at Casa de Campo during summer break, there are plenty of summer camps for kids to choose from including the Stage Performing Arts Camp in La Romana, the Creative Explorations Summer Program at the Chavón Regional Archaeological Museum in Altos de Chavón, and the week-long sleepover camp at Ki-Ra Holistic Living Centre. There are also sports camps available like polo clinics, the Junior Golf Academy, and the FCBEscola soccer camp designed by FC Barcelona.

Family Excursions

Sure, you could spend your entire time at Casa de Campo hanging out by the pool or on the beach, but there are so many amazing things to see and do just a short drive from the resort. Take a trip to the magnificent Las Maravillas cave system where you can see ancient cave paintings by the Taíno people. Fly through the air over the treetops on a zipline adventure, careen through the countryside in a buggy, or take a glass-bottom boat tour to see colorful reefs, tropical fish and sharks directly under your feet. Or just learn a bit more of the history of the island in a fun way and visit the Archeological Museum at Altos de Chavon.
